I love building understanding and creating connections alongside and with my clients. Whether it be a connection to self, family, loved ones, children, or our world, I believe these are the fibers that give us strength and create deeper meaning in our lives. Through this lens, I will work with you to discover your therapeutic goals and aspirations.
COUPLES A fundamental piece of being human is our need for connection and community. When we don’t feel connected or understood to those closest to us, we can feel vulnerable and alone. I emphasize connection and understanding in couples and family therapy and utilize elements of Satir’s Human Validation Process, Emotionally Focused Therapy as well as Gottman’s Sound House Relationship Theory. I aim to strengthen understanding, build communication, and facilitate shared meaning. INDIVIDUALS Similar to couples and family therapy, I utilize many elements of Satir’s Human Validation Model to help clients heal and process. My ideal client experiences feelings of insecurity and emotional dysregulation. My clients often wish to improve feelings of anxiety, low self-worth, guilt, shame and depression, intense emotionality, OCD and repetitive thoughts. I address integration of self to help my client’s achieve self-empowerment, self-confidence, and self-acceptance. I use several Cognitive Behavioral Therapy interventions coupled with experiential and somatic therapy techniques to achieve connection to self. ANXIETY & DEPRESSION- Many of my clients struggle with self confidence and personal empowerment. They often question themselves and are sensitive to the needs of others. This can impact personal happiness and relationship vitality. These emotions often lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and lowered self-confidence. I love to support my clients to develop healthy interaction patterns with others, as well as to develop loving and effective boundaries. This may include work on self-compassion, self-nurturance, and integration of mind, body, and spirit. EXPERIENCE & TRAINING I have over 14 years of experience working with clients. My journey began as a bodyworker in 2010 when I realized that many people’s physical pains were connected to personal struggles in their life. I came to see the complex connection between physical and emotional vitality. I pursued a coaching certification in holistic wellness to expand the healing process for clients, which ultimately led me to pursue a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2020. My personal experiences span marriage, divorce, single parenthood, raising kids and adolescents, blending families, grief and loss. I pull from my life lessons and experiences to walk through change with my clients. I would be happy to discuss therapy with you and answer any questions you may have to see if I may be a good fit for you. I look forward to meeting you. Please reach out through this contact form or you can feel free to also contact me directly at [email protected]. “The world is a reflection of you, what will
