Meet Sarah
At times it can be easy to keep a smile on your face and pretend that everything is okay, but deep down it’s not. Many of us go through the motions of life without processing the events that have happened to us or the emotions we feel. I want to walk alongside you in life so you can thrive and practice emotional regulation. I believe that the therapeutic process can be fruitful by understanding how one’s past, family and social relationships, and thoughts and feelings are affecting their behavior and outlook on life. By analyzing negative core beliefs and replacing them with positive thoughts, one can change their perspective about their life and change their actions.
I seek to empower clients to experience integration and holism, confidence, and healing within themselves. I have an integrated counseling approach and tend to utilize tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamics, person-centered therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, and more. I also provide faith-based counseling if that is desired. I love incorporating mindfulness, grounding techniques, and art-based interventions within sessions. I would be honored to get to know your story and embark on this healing journey together. |
