It has been an incredible journey to get to this point, and I am so glad to be able to serve my community. As your counselor, it is important to me to build a relationship with you as I help you sort through life’s obstacles. My hope is to help you mend relationships and to provide you with the tools needed to maintain healthy bonds. My personal growth through life altering situations has caused me to believe that everyone deserves to find peace and contentment using therapeutic measures. For me, it is fulfilling to work with children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life.
After losing my husband of 22 years, I have grown to have a deeper understanding of grief and would like to offer more support for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one. It is my belief that we are all in the process of becoming and how we overcome obstacles builds our character. It is my desire to offer counseling through a biblical lens when requested. I lean toward solution focused therapy and internal family systems when working with families. When working with children, I have found cognitive behavioral therapy to be a great tool to teach them healthy coping skills. For couples’ work, I like to use a combination of Gottman and emotionally focused therapy. I look forward to meeting you and learning all about your journey! |
